Obituary of Grace Braun

BRAUN, GRACE JEAN (nee Andres) - Aged 89, of Tabor Manor Apartments, went peacefully and joyfully to spend eternity with her beloved Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 27, 2015 surrounded by her beloved family. Grace was the daughter of Jacob and Marie Andres, and a sister to Elmer, James, Nellie, Josie and Clara, all of whom pre-deceased her. Grace was also predeceased by her husband, James Braun, in 1986. She will always be remembered with such love by her precious family, all of whom she adored, Dennis (Shirley) Braun, Margaret (John) Ridderikhoff, Mary (Donald) Marr, Josie (Ronald) Martens, and Thom (Elaine) Braun. Grace leaves to mourn her cherished grandchildren, Denise (Ross) Luscher, Suzie (David) Nickel, Karen (Robert) Keyes, Jason (Christine) Ridderikhoff, Tyler (Heather) Ridderikhoff, Rebecca (Joseph) Fersovich, Amber Reid, Jamie Ridderikhoff, Becca Ridderikhoff, Riley Hiesinger-Tokohopie, Kevin (Shawna) Marr, Laureli (Mike) Veldhuizen, Cyndi Ludovici, Amie (Pat) Praskey, Karen (John) Van Vliet, Kristy (Gavin) Duncan, Jeffrey (Lindsay) Martens, David (Sarah) Braun, Nathan (Ally) Braun, Michele Braun, and Ethan Braun. Grace’s many great-grandchildren were her utmost pride and joy, Megan, Faith, and Noah Nickel, Chelsea Luscher, Jonathan, Jacob, and Jesse Keyes, Matthew, Cameron, Olivia, and Connor Ridderikhoff, Nathan, Kora-Lynn, Hannah, Jaeden, and Chloe Ridderikhoff, Sophia and Nevaeh Roufosse, Emerson and Abigail Marr, Rachel and Taylor Veldhuizen, Sophie and Lexi Ludovici, Noah and Lily Praskey, Evan, Olivia, Karlyn, and Leah Van Vliet, Allegra and Gabriella Duncan, Hailey, Paxton, and Beckham Martens, Henley and Porter Braun, and Callahan and William Braun. Grace is also survived by her siblings, Betty (Walter) Isaac, Allen (Esther) Andres, Edna (Jake) Penner, Irene Dick, and Lois (Walter) Martens, by her brother-in-law, Peter (Elsie) Braun, by many nieces and nephews, and by her lifelong friends, and her Tabor Manor family. The family welcomes friends to a time of visitation at Tallman’s Funeral Home, 3277 King St., Vineland on Sunday, August 30, between 2 - 4 and 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Burial service will be at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Monday, August 31 at 9:30 a.m., with the funeral service following at Calvary Church, 89 Scott St. St. Catharines at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Tabor Manor or the Calvary Church Children’s Ministry (VBS) of St. Catharines, or the New Hope Church Children’s Day Camp Ministry, 2360 First Street Louth, St. Catharines.
